Thankfully we decided to go ahead with Dive Key West….We couldn’t have been happier. The instructor Jarrett did an excellent job getting us over the first day nerves and running us through the two day course. The Boat Captain Wayne also went out of his way to help us along and really made us feel at home. We have three more weeks in key west and will only use Dive Key West for the rest of our stay. 

We dived the Vandenberg and some shallow reefs with Dive Key West. We were able to schedule a dive on the wreck in advance and they were accommodating of the varying levels of dive experience in our group. Wonderful staff, nice boat, great dive operation. Also, this was the first dive operation I’ve dived with that actually took us on TWO dives of a large shipwreck! You really get your money’s worth. When you dive the Spiegel Grove up in Key Largo they basically give you one dive and then send you off to some forgettable (and mostly bleached) shallow reef. Awesome dives.

We did an afternoon dive at the Cut and Haystacks in Western Sambos. The dive staff was great, and the boat was perfect! We got lucky because the weather was perfect, and the water was like glass! The boat is very comfortable, and we were lucky, as we were the only divers. The dive itself was fun, and you will see a lot of beautiful sea fans, corals, etc. and all kinds of fish! We saw a stingrey, spider crab, and lots of very large lobster.

The Dive Key West team is amazing.  The whole team were friendly, encouraging experts.  As a brand new diver I was exceptionally nervous.  Victoria expended the time and energy to build my confidence with diving.  I recommend them to anyone who wants to learn to dive.  They are all great!

These guys went WAY out of their way to make sure that I got my 50th dive in and my friend got her qualification dived done even though Mother Nature just wasn’t cooperating. Also, they took my handicaps in stride and were so helpful with my gearing up and breaking down. Of note, Victoria, our instructor, was honestly the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of diving with, and Captain Jack was tops too.
